How long do I have to download a FileRunner package?
Updated over a week ago

The default access period for FileRunner packages is 5 days. Files will expire after the access period is complete and will be permanently deleted from our servers.

the expiry time of your package is clearly labelled on both your package email notifications and the package detail pages in your FileRunner ‘Received packages’ inbox.

The access period is set by the sender when creating a package. Whilst the default access time is 5 days, this can be extended up to 10 days by editing the ‘Access Period’ using the slider under Package settings. Simply open up the sider by selecting ‘edit’ next to the current access period.

You can set the access window to anytime within the next 10 days. You may even wish to delay the start time for downloading- for example, you might want to upload on a Friday evening but not have your client begin download until Monday morning. Use the start and end time sliders to set the access window as you wish. Your recipient will not receive a package notification until the access window begins.

Update: To cover our clients changing needs during the COVID-19 measures, we have extended the default and maximum access period windows to 10 and 15 days respectively. This is to allow our users more time to download packages where they are experiencing constraints on their available bandwidth.
