Recommended Browsers

A ClearView Flex session can be run on recent versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Bear in mind Mozilla Firefox won't support 10-bit video.

For iOS users, you will need to download the ClearView Flex App from your App Store.

Enabling Auto-Play on Browser

These steps will help you enable auto-play in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, allowing videos and audio to play automatically when you visit cvf.sohonet.com

Please see the instructions below for enabling Auto-Play in Chrome & Firefox (browser we recommend for presenters and viewers).

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome Settings:

    • Click on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the browser window to open the menu.

    • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to Site Settings:

    • Scroll down and click on "Privacy and security."

    • Click on "Site Settings."

  3. Adjust Permissions for Sound:

    • Scroll down to the "Permissions" section and select "Additional content settings."

    • Click on "Sound."

  4. Allow Auto-Play for All Sites:

    • Toggle the switch to enable sound for all sites or add specific websites to the "Allow" list by clicking on "Add" next to "Allow."

  5. Close Settings:

    • Once adjustments are made, close the settings tab. Auto-play should now be enabled for the specified sites or globally, depending on your choice.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox Preferences:

    • Click on the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the browser window to open the menu.

    • Select "Settings" (or "Preferences" on Mac) from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security:

    • In the left sidebar, select "Privacy & Security."

  3. Adjust Autoplay Settings:

    • Scroll down to the "Permissions" section.

    • Click on "Settings..." next to "Autoplay."

  4. Set Default Auto-Play Behavior:

    • In the Auto-play settings window, you can choose how audio and video are handled. Select "Allow Audio and Video" from the dropdown menu to enable auto-play for all sites.

  5. Save Changes and Close:

    • Click on "Save Changes" to apply the settings.
