If you are sending more than one file in FileRunner, your files will be packaged together as a single .tar file. Tar files are similar to zipped files and need to be unpacked after download. This ensures we are able to keep the integrity of your directory structure in the transfer process. Depending on the size of your package the untarring process may take some time after download to unpack.

Our automation tools such as the FileRunner Auto-downloader and the CLI tool can be used not only to accelerate the transfer process but will also automatically untar packages as they download.
