FileRunner V5 Migration Notes
Updated over a week ago

FileRunner V5, we’ve introduced some significant improvements to enhance the overall user experience and streamline your workflow. Below are the key changes and features included in FileRunner V5:

Login Changes

Usernames will no longer be required to log in to FileRunner. Going forward, all users will now use their email addresses for login, aligning the process with other platform products for a consistent experience across services.

Seamless Package Transition

All existing packages on FileRunner V2 will remain automatically available on V5. No customer action is required. This ensures a smooth transition for ongoing workflows and uninterrupted access to your files.

Terminology Updates

We've simplified and refreshed some terminology within the FileRunner V5 interface to provide clearer navigation and improve usability. The following changes have been made:

  • Create package is now Share

  • Received packages has been renamed to Inbox

  • Usage Report is now referred to as Activities

  • User Management is now simply Users

  • Contract Settings has been shortened to Settings

These changes have been implemented to create a more intuitive experience while interacting with FileRunner.

Auto Downloader & CLI Access

Auto Downloader and Command Line Interface (CLI) tools work the same way in Filerunner V5 as they did in V2. Users can continue their workflows without needing to update or change their methods.
