  2. Select Virtual Licenses:

  3. Start the Setup Process:
Click on the wrench icon to begin setting up your session. You’ll be prompted to provide a name for your flexbox and choose a location from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Configuring Your AWS EC2 Instance

  1. Generate the Activation Key:
Once you’ve named your flexbox and chosen a location, switch over to your AWS EC2 console.

    • Select generate activation key. This key is essential for linking your flexbox with your AWS instance.

  2. Launch the Instance:

    • In the EC2 console, click on launch instance.

    • Under the Application and OS section, click on browse more AMIs.

    • Choose My AMIs and check the shared with me filter under the owner section.

    • Search for and select the latest available version.

    • For the instance type, select C6A.2Xlarge.

    • Proceed by launching the instance without a key pair.

  3. Network Settings:
Customise your network settings as needed. You can either tailor these to your specific requirements or follow the standard firewall rule guidance provided alongside your welcome email.

  4. Finalizing the Launch:

    • Click launch instance.

    • If the newly created instance does not appear immediately, refresh the instances list.

    • Once visible, verify that the instance is establishing a connection.

Step 4: Completing the Registration

  1. Logging Into Clear View Flex:

    • Enter your credentials to log in to Clear View Flex.

    • When prompted, enter your password.

  2. Copying the Registration Command:

    • In the admin portal, copy the registration command provided.

    • Run this command on the client. Note that this process may take a few minutes as the system configures your VLEX.

Step 5: Configuring Additional Settings and Starting Your Session

  1. Allocating Users and Configuring NDI:

    • Return to the admin portal to allocate users to your newly created flexbox.

    • Configure your NDI (Network Device Interface) settings based on your workflow needs. For a detailed walkthrough on NDI configuration, please visit our help centre at help.sohonet.com.

  2. Starting a Session in Avid:

    • Once the VFlex configuration is complete, you can begin a new session by entering a session name.

    • In Avid, enable NDI by selecting the monitor icon (HW/SW) located above the timeline. When the icon flashes red, it indicates that Avid is broadcasting an NDI feed.

    • Back in Clear View Flex, your system should now detect the session. You can then select start stream to begin your live session.
