ClearView Flex accepts SDI, HDMI & NDI inputs. You can have both an HDMI and SDI input plugged into the Flexbox but only one source can be streamed at any one time.
โ
You can easily switch between inputs during a session. Once you have created the session in the Presenter app, simply choose the input you want to use by opening the settings menu and then selecting either SDI, HDMI or NDI in the Input type section. The settings menu is found by clicking the cog icon at the bottom right-hand side of the stream viewer when in an active session.
โ
For NDI sources you will need to select a specific source from the NDI source list which will appear once NDI is selected. Your NDI configuration can be managed in the Admin panel under the Network
tab in your Flexbox settings. If NDI is not available under the Settings panel as pictured below it may not yet have been turned on by an Admin user.
Best practice for edit review
Please bear in mind that when sharing your desktop via HDMI, you are not getting frame-accurate / colour-accurate output (because Mac and PC desktops provide neither). The most common approach is to share your desktop via HDMI, allowing you to share the timeline, bin or media library from your edit software, and then switch to share the output via HD-SDI so that the presenter can see frame and colour-accurate video.
